DAY 14 - CALLING THE THINGS THAT ARE NOT AS IF THEY ARE
“(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;” Romans 4:17 (NKJV)
We all know the story where Jesus changed the name of one of His Disciples. His name was Simon, which in the Greek means “reed” and Jesus changed his name to “Peter” which means “rock.”
However, even with this amazing name change, Peter wasn’t instantly transformed into someone with these characteristics — solid, stable and unshakable. Not at all. In fact, for a long time, he continued to act like a reed that bends every way that the wind blows.
God did not teach us to call those things which exist as they exist. What is the point of stating the obvious? Instead, God tells us to call those things which do not exist as though they do, and then they will!
What do you need today? What do you need to see take place in your life, your job, your finances or your relationships? Begin to speak as if they are!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION:
“The change I declare with my mouth is the change that I will see with my eyes! I decree today that I cannot and I shall not fail. I carry the life of God in me. I attract favour and opportunity every day, in the Name of Jesus!”
