Day 53 - The Line Of Seperation
“Be devoted to one another with [authentic] brotherly affection [as members of one family], give preference to one another in honor; 11 never lagging behind in diligence; aglow in the Spirit, enthusiastically serving the Lord;”
ROMANS 12:10-11 (AMP)
There is a popular saying that God comes in with a bang, but He leaves silently. This is what happens when Christians don’t take their relationship with God seriously. Slowly but surely,
they fall into becoming lukewarm Christians.
When we live a lifestyle of merely maintaining our relationship with God, we cannot grow – and we most definitely cannot stay on fire! There comes a time – which I like to call the “line of separation” – when God promotes some, and others not. When you fail to receive the promotion as this line is drawn, the manifest presence of God leaves your life without you even noticing it.
Many people get saved and enter their “honeymoon phase” with God – they are on fire, their passion for God burning bright when suddenly they reach a place where the enemy takes note of them and starts to throw a few tests their way. Not long after that, we see that believers begin to withdraw and they gradually lose their passion and hunger for God, refusing to sacrifice a life of ease for a deeper relationship with God.
I’d like to draw your attention to the scripture above where we read the word “aglow” – this means to be set alight, burning with a passion, never falling into a place where you are so comfortable that you don’t even notice that God has left. Make it your aim to be diligent. Don’t be left out when the line of separation is drawn.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
“May I be one who is known as a person who serves God diligently. May my life be aglow with the fire of God, and passion for His
Kingdom, in Jesus Name!”
