Day 45 - The Mystery Of Testings

“So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him”.

Revelation 12:9 (NKJV)

The devil brings temptation and tests to everyone. Jesus taught us that a servant is not above his master. So, if Jesus was tempted, then we will also be tempted. It is very easy to summarize the works of the devil in this one word, “deception”. The devil is a liar and a deceiver. In fact, Jesus

Satan forges a counterfeit of anything that God does, in an attempt to deceive us. When the Holy Spirit gives us dreams, satan will try to do the same. If God speaks with an audible voice, satan will also speak to you with audible voices.

These tactics are to bring deception and confusion. The devil may open certain doors to lead you into the wrong places, and he also tries to close certain doors in your life. That is why Jesus is described as the one who can open a door which no one can ever close.

Our spiritual receptors need to be in tune to discern the deceptive lies of the enemy. The Bible teaches that we should be aware of the enemy. Satan’s strength is not in his power, but in his ability to deceive. That is why God’s instruction to us is to put on the whole armour of God, that we may be able to withstand against the deception, tricks and lies of the devil.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

“I receive the ability to discern the snares and traps of the enemy. May my eyes open, that I might see where God is leading me, and that I shall walk according to my calling and purpose.”
