Day 41 - The Prophetic Voice
“... Believe in the Lord your God, so shall you be established; believe his prophets, so shall you prosper.”
2 Chronicles 20:20 (NKJV)
The King Jehoshaphat was established as he heeded the voice of the prophet. Whatever you need to propel you to a higher level will come through the voice of the anointed. The voice of the anointed carries the spirit of counsel, which will lead to your breakthrough.
Jehoshaphat was confronted
with a very difficult situation. Several kings were about to attack him, and his nation was in a crisis. He called for a prayer meeting and when the prayer meeting ended, one of the ministers prophesied that they were going to win the war,
because God was going to fight the battle for them.
Jehoshaphat exhorted the rest of the congregation to believe in God and His anointed. This teaches us a great lesson – the first being that believing in God will lead to our establishment, and the second being that believing in God’s prophets will bring prosperity.
Because of his genuine faith in the man of God, Jehosophat made the choir march out in front of the army. That was a very dangerous move, but he believed in both God and the prophet, and the genuine faith that he had paid off. At the end of it all, Jehoshaphat and his followers had an overflow of blessings; more than they could carry away.
A prophetic voice will always predict your future, and when you heed the voice of a prophet, you will prosper!
