DAY 38 - YOU ARE HERE TO BRING FRAGRANCE

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” Matthew 5:13 (NKJV)

Any person who has cooked a few meals in their lifetime will tell you that even in the presence of herbs and spices, salt is irreplaceable! That’s why I find it interesting that God considers you and I as the salt of the earth!

Salt is a preservative. So what God is saying is that your presence keeps things going. The company you are in is preserved just because you are part of it. No wonder God said that He would not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah if there were righteous people there (Genesis 18:23-33).

Salt also adds flavour to food. There is a flavour that you carry which no one else has. You aren’t meant to taste the same. Embrace that unique flavour which God has given you! Just as salt heals wounds, God has also put in you an ability to comfort others who are wounded. You have the grace to bring restoration. The Bible says He has committed to us the ministry of reconciliation.

It is not an act of humility to cower and take a position lower than the one God has placed you in. As the salt of the Earth, you are irreplaceable. You are destined to bring something unique to this world, to bring healing to those around you, and for your family and your company to be preserved because of you.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION:

“I am the salt of the earth! I carry a unique flavour and a unique purpose. Never again shall I look down upon myself. I am making a mark on this world that can never be erased. Everywhere I go, the favour and anointing of the Spirit is working for me!”
