Day 38 - Are You Following Your Call?
“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”
Revelation 22:12 (NKJV)
What are we called to do? Are we all called to be apostles, prophets, evangelists and teachers? Certainly not. Most of us do not have callings for full-time ministry or to operate in one of the five-fold ministry gifts. We are all simply called to be fruitful.
If we were to follow the teachings given to us by Christ and the greatest men of God recorded in the Bible, most of us Christians
would become sacrificial and actually do something significant for God. One the greatest tragedy’s in life today is how little we do for Christ.
We have been saved by an amazing act of love and grace, but many of us are not prepared to give up anything to see others saved. It is so sad to see Christians waste their lives away, doing nothing for the Lord.
God’s admonition to us is to use the time we have on earth to do as much for Him as possible. We must work while it is day. The wisest thing you can do with your life is to redeem the time by getting busy with the work of the Lord.
Begin to dedicate yourself – your time, your energy and your resources - to that which you were called to do. This is ultimately the reason why God orchestrated for you to be born. You have purpose!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
“Through the Holy Spirit, I am receiving divine insight into my purpose. No longer will I walk around aimlessly. From today, I commit myself to that which He has written over my life, and will sacrifice myself to walk fully in it.”
