Day 33 - Embrace Times Of Discipline
“For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems sad and painful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness...”
Hebrews 12:11 (AMP)
As men and women, we generally struggle to receive any form of discipline. From a child, into our teenage years and even into adulthood, we struggle to embrace discipline or to see it as something that can benefit us. Instead, our normal reaction is usually to
justify ourselves, avoid those who bring discipline, or to see it as some form of punishment.
In the scriptures, it says that disciple yields the f ruit of righteousness. Even though it feels painful at the time, it is working towards your good.
“Those who receive discipline, rebukes and chastisement will go further than those who don’t!”
NLT translation says “No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.”
Never run from the disciple of your natural or spiritual parents - for they have been placed over you, by God, to take you higher and further, and to prepare you to eventually step into your destiny.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
“I shall not run from discipline, for I know that it is God working through those whom He has placed over me, for my good! May I be connected to those who can take me higher.”
