DAY 31 - YOU WILL BE REWARDED
“I say unto you,... because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.”
Luke 11:8 (NIV)
Persisting in prayer is a guaranteed way to get results.
Persisting means repeating! It means that you will tirelessly go to the Lord in prayer. It means you will shamelessly cry to the Lord until He responds. Persistence is what brings results f rom the spiritual realm into the natural realm.
Jesus said very clearly that you would get results if you pray, pray and pray! The reason why you will get results is because you keep on praying. Someone may ask, “Does the principle of persistence contradict the principle of faith? After all, when using the key of faith, surely you wouldn’t have to pray more than once?”
What you must understand is that there are different ways of expressing faith. Praying once and expecting results is one expression of faith. Praying over and over about the same issue, with a determination to never stop until you get an answer, is another expression of faith. Each of these two expressions of faith are valid and bring results. Each of these two expressions of faith were recommended by Jesus.
There are many Christians who can testify about how they prayed persistently until God answered. This is a prayer God honours. That’s why the scripture in Matthew says, “Ask, and keep on asking! Seek, and keep on seeking. Knock, and keep on knocking!” Never give up!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
“May I never grow weary in trusting God, and never grow tired in praying for my breakthrough. May the persistence of my prayers grab God’s attention, and cause breakthrough to be released!”
