DAY 26 - THE SIGNIFICANCE OF A MANTLE

“When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Then a voice said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

1 Kings 19:11-13 (NIV)

You cannot move in a mantle that you judge, or a mantle that you do not align yourself with. The reason for this is simple! The oil flows from the top and then flows down to the rest of the body.

The Bible says, “When Elijah

heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face”. Elijah pulled his mantle over his face for protection and to be under a covering. This is so significant, because he was able to stand at the mouth of the cave, with full assurance that he

was protected. All because of the mantle which covered him!

I have seen countless sons leave their house without submitting to the authority placed over them. By doing this, they leave without a mantle. They do not survive when persecution and trials come. Then, on the other hand, I’ve seen those who received a mantle and submitted to their spiritual covering, who were sent out and are still preaching the Word of God to this day.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

“May I never be misaligned from the mantle which You have placed over me. May I forever remain covered, protected and in submission, in Jesus Name.”
