DAY 23 - THE NAWBAT ANOINTING
“So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked
at the bronze serpent, he lived.” Numbers 21:9 (NKJV)
I find it amazing that in order to heal those who had been bitten by a snake, God used another snake. He didn’t choose to use a dove, or for them to be touched by water which Moses had prayed over, or for the rod of Moses to be laid upon them. Instead, God used the very thing that they battled to look upon. The Hebrew word for “looked” used in this verse is “nawbat”. It means to look at with pleasure. God was telling them to enjoy the sight of the brass serpent, regardless of the pain they were experiencing as a result of the snake bite. Your deliverance will come when you can take pleasure in the very thing that is causing you pain! When you choose to look beyond that which you’re currently going through and the sting of pain which it carries, God can usher you into a place of healing and deliverance. I call this the nawbat anointing.
This anointing is the same which applies when you grab hold of somebody else’s miracle for your own life. Maybe you’ve been stuck in a dead-end job for many years, and suddenly your friend gets their third promotion in one year. Maybe you’re sick in your body, yet someone else in your church receives their healing. Maybe you are barren, and everyone else seems to fall pregnant around you. When you are able to connect yourself to the same anointing that delivered them, and brought about their miracle, you are aligning yourself to receive your own!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION:
“From this day, I choose to delight in other people’s blessings! As I connect to the same anointing which brought about their miracle, I declare that I shall be aligned with mine, in Jesus Name.”
