DAY 18 - THE HARDENED HEART

“Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled. For they had not understood about the loaves, because their heart was hardened.” Mark 6:51-52 (NKJV)

When the disciples saw the Lord walking on water, the Bible says they were amazed beyond measure. I can tell you that unless they had seen it with their own eyes, they most likely wouldn’t have believed it to be true.

But the next verse says that they had not understood the miracle of the loaves because of their hardened hearts. According to Jesus, they should not have been amazed by seeing Him walking on water, in light of the miracle which was performed when He fed the five thousand. So, He chose to use this opportunity for them to realise that their hearts were hardened.

This scripture shows us the dangers of having a hardened heart. You will miss out on even the most phenomenal miracles which Christ is doing, even when right before your eyes. Above all else, guard your heart!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION:

“I keep watch over my soul, and choose to resist anything which may cause hardness of heart. May miracles begin to unfold before me like never before, in the mighty Name of Jesus.”
