THE GOSHEN ANOINTING

Have you ever felt as if you are being suffocated by your circumstances?

I have come across many believers in the last 14 years of ministry who go through storms, persecution and wilderness experiences, yet do not come out strong the other side. They carry the same Holy Ghost as great generals who have gone on before us, and even the same Holy Ghost as the Apostle Paul, yet they cannot persevere to the other side of their struggle. But there is good news!

There is a specific anointing available for every believer that will preserve them – and this is available for you, too! This anointing will protect and preserve everything that belongs to you. No matter how bad your circumstances may seem.

This anointing is known as the GOSHEN ANOINTING.

SCRIPTURE REFERENCE:

“But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.”

Genesis 45:5 (NKJV)

This story of Joseph holds many keys that we can apply to our lives that will enable us to become more efficient and effective in our Christian living. However, there is a hidden key in this story that many fail to grasp. It is one simple revelation that will cause uncommon favour to invade every aspect of your life.

Let’s get right into it…

After Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, he ended up in Egypt where he was appointed as second in charge over the land of Egypt. In the second year of the famine, Jacob was forced to send his sons into Egypt to find food, just in order for them to survive.

Finally, after many years, and through a divine meeting set up by God, Joseph was reunited with his brothers. It is amazing to see that Joseph responded in a way that is well worth taking note of… Instead of being angry, bitter or full of hate towards them, Joseph told them not to be angry with themselves because they had sold him, because it was God that had used them to send him before them to preserve their lives.

Let’s look at the phrase “to preserve life”

• Hebrew word: michyâh
• It means to replenish life or to revive, to bring back to life. Preserving life also speaks of sustenance.

Many have started off strong and received promises from God that now seem impossible to come to pass. It might even feel like many prophecies have died and need to be revived and resurrected.

The key for this revival to take place is locked up in the following passage of scripture.

⁷ “And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. ⁸ So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. ⁹ “Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Joseph: “God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not tarry. ¹⁰ You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your children, your children’s children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have.”

Genesis 45:7-10 (NKJV)

 The word “Goshen” means :

• A place of comfort and plenty
• The prophetic meaning is, the land of preservation

It is important to understand that Goshen is a supernatural location!

When we look at this scripture, we see that Joseph summoned for his family to come down to Goshen – a place of safety and preservation.  Goshen is a place that you are called into.

What I want you to understand today is that by you being a part of this ministry, you have been divinely chosen by God, and called to this location.

There are 3 preservations that take place when you move into the Goshen  level of anointing:

1. Safety

²⁵ “And the hail struck throughout the whole land of Egypt, all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail struck every herb of the field and broke every tree of the field. ²⁶ Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.”

Exodus 9:25-26 (NKJV)

The hail was destroying everything in Egypt, leaving the land of Goshen completely untouched. So we see that everything around Goshen was affected by the hail, except for Goshen!

As a Prophet, I declare to you that it does not matter what is going on in the world around you. When you have stepped into Goshen, you will not be touched, influenced or harmed.

2. Promotion

⁶ “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.”

Psalm 75:6 (KJV)

Promotion can come only from one place, and that is the North. Goshen was situated in the North. If you look at a compass, North is pointing to a spiritual and geographical location – that is, Heaven. This means that promotion comes from God.

What is the meaning of promotion?

• It means that God is taking you from strength to strength, from glory to glory, from anointing to anointing, from blessing to blessing and from breakthrough to breakthrough.

3. Multiplication

²⁷ “And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly.”

Genesis 47:27 (KJV)(NKJV)

Once the Goshen anointing touches your life, there will be multiplication in every area. Yes – you will see that even your enemies will begin to bless you!
