THE FEAR OF THE LORD - PART 3
THE FEAR OF THE LORD
What is Your Understanding – Part 3?
Contrary to popular belief, ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is one of the very platforms Satan sniffs out when he is on a prowling spree. We are victimised veterans in witnessing the full force of our enemy’s shadowed government working in full concert to bring destruction. He has a crazed talent to keep the unsuspecting under a veiled coma of deception.
But his black hole of illusory manipulation will fall under the gavel the moment the light of revelation enters. The greatest protection from error is knowing the truth.
In Romans 13:1 we are commanded to be subject to the governing authorities. The word subject in this verse is submit. However, the scripture does not say that everyone must obey but rather submit. There is a big difference between submission and obedience. You can submit to something without obeying it. In other words, you can choose to obey God rather than man. No civil authority is allowed to violate your conscience because your conscience is according to the Word of God.
In scriptures we find TRUTH. A revelation of things man can never discover from any other source.
The moment we become a citizen of God’s kingdom we are delivered from our fallen state. But it is here where our internal struggle begins, we now have two energies pulling at us, both resolute for our undivided attention.
- THE WORLD & YOUR CARNAL SELF. Killing your flesh is hard because it’s been king over you your whole life. When challenged that “king” will rebel. When the Bible speaks of “flesh” it means a spiritual flesh that has a conscience. God can only use a dead man.
- GOD’S KINGDOM & YOUR SPIRIT. A realm where God exists in overarching authority. His rule is acknowledged in the hearts of all believers. His kingdom has a moral and spiritual dynamic that man cannot retrieve outside of the Holy Spirit’s guidance and influence. One can say that God’s rule is the antithesis of man and the world (Psalm 25:14).
“The Fear of God Leads to Knowledge of God”
Contrasting the Carnal and Spiritually Minded.
The carnal man gets saved but he is not close to God. He does not have a natural attraction toward godly things. He or she may even be a Christian who has God’s life but is still yielding to their own fleshly nature. His or her spirit has been quickened but is still following their own thoughts, interests, wishes and flesh which is the lowest dimension of living.
The degree to which godly traits are manifested in your life defends upon the extent to which you trust the Lord with every detail of your life. It is the fear of God that causes us to see Him. Holiness is not sinning less. But when your eyes are open, you step into a relationship with Him. God can intimately connect with you and trust you because you are obedient to Him.
For you to access what God has in store for you, you will have to kill the flesh. The only way to do this is to pick up your cross and follow Him. If you cannot or if you are unwilling you cannot be His disciple (Proverbs 2:5).
