A Prophets Reward

41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

Matthew 10:41 NKJV

Out of all scriptures in the Word, the above verse is one of the most misunderstood in the Bible.

In today’s article, I will not only be revealing what exactly a prophet’s reward is, but I will also teach you the qualifications that God has put in place which determines who is in line to receive a prophet’s reward.

You will also be surprised when you understand what the first part of this verse means – I can assure you that it is not what you have been previously taught.

First, it is crucial that you understand that our level of honour for someone is directly determined by our level of perception of them. In other words, you can only honour another in accordance to how you perceive them.

Now, you might be asking, “What does honour have to do with receiving a prophet’s reward?”

The answer is quite simple. Honour is the very key that will allow you access into the system of rewards of a prophet. Without honour, a prophet’s reward will not be unlocked in your life.

Many thinks that “prophet” is a title or a function where in actual fact, “prophet” is a name.

This means that if you cannot perceive the prophet as a prophet, you cannot qualify to fall into that system of rewards. You will, therefore, only receive according to your perception.

For example, if you perceive someone as a pastor, your honour will be according to that. If you perceive someone as an apostle, your level of honour will be in line with that perception. However, when you perceive a true prophet as a prophet, then your honour will be according to that, and you will then fall into that system of rewards.

What is a Prophet’s Reward?

  1. Prosperity

20 So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”

2 Chronicles 20:20 NKJV

The word “prosper” in this scripture means to advance with speed.

We need to understand that prophets speak the oracles of God. This means that when we receive what they speak, and honour their words as coming from the God, we receive and honour what is of God.

It is of the utmost importance that we wage a good warfare with our prophecies according to 1 Timothy 1:18. When we wage war with our prophecies, we are actually waging war with God’s Word which He has released over our lives.

This is sure to bring acceleration in every aspect of your life.

  1. Keys of the Kingdom

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”

14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth [will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Matthew 16:13-19 NKJV

The moment you start to believe in His Prophets, you will receive the keys of the Kingdom – these are, to bind and to lose!

Peter was given the keys because he could perceive that Jesus was the Christ.

  1. The Finger of God.

This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.

So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”

11 She said, “No one, Lord.”

And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

John 8:6-11

When Jesus was writing in the ground, many claim that He was writing out the sins of the accusers and this is true. But scripture records that He also wrote a second time, but this time, it was to cancel out their accusations by writing the word, “Grace” in the sand.

You must take note that Jesus said to the woman, “Go and sin no more”. What many religious teachers won’t do is to point out the obvious, which shows that not once did she repent. Scripture doesn’t record this anywhere. Jesus just forgave her!

What does the Finger of God do?

  1. Creates miracles
  2. Brings judgement
  3. Writes and brings grace into your life
  4. It casts out devils
  5. It cleans your conscience and puts the anointing on you

The Finger of God is simply God clothed in human skin. If I say it plainly… Prophets are the finger of God.

How to Fulfill Prophecy?

“I have declared the former things from the beginning;
They went forth from My mouth, and I caused them to hear it.
Suddenly I did them, and they came to pass.

Isaiah 48:3 NKJV

In closing today, I want to release the three effective keys which are revealed in the verse above, which you can do to provoke your prophecies to come to pass:

  1. Speak it
  2. Let people hear it
  3. Do it

As you have read this article, it is my desire for you to receive the Prophet’s reward. May this revelation which you have received today become alive in you, as you receive supernatural understanding.

As you align yourself to receive a prophet’s reward, I declare and decree that you shall prosper beyond measure in every sphere of your life!
