6 Keys To Provoke New Beginnings

In this time – actually more than I’ve ever witnessed in the last decade of ministry – the desperate cry of Christians around the World is the need for a new beginning.

People have been driven into a pit of despair, and their plea is a fresh start – some sort of launchpad into something completely brand new.

Does this apply to you as well? Have you ever found yourself asking the following questions…?

Is there a way that I can start afresh?

How do I push myself out of my current situation?

Can the old pass away?

Is it possible to get a new fresh beginning?

If you have ever asked yourself these kinds of questions, then this article is just for you.

You may have been going through a difficult period in your life and might have faced a lot of challenging situations, but I want to tell you that your days of feeling defeated are over! The enemy who tried to make you believe that you’re failing is being silenced, and your season for success is at hand.

The Bible says that we are to forget the former things – and goes on to say, “behold, I will do a new thing!” You may feel like you have reached the end and cannot go on anymore, but the Lord has something specifically designed for your life. You will be able to step into a new season with a fresh beginning!

Let’s look at 6 keys in how to provoke a new beginning.

1. New birth

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

Understand that the moment you give your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ, you step out of your past and into a new beginning.

The old must pass away before the new can come in. When you become born again, the old is removed and you become a new creation in Christ Jesus, where you have now taken on the Character, Likeness and Image of Christ. All of your past mistakes, failures and regrets no longer for a part of your life.

10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Colossians 3:10 (KJV)

A new birth is a fresh new beginning.

It is very important to understand the 1st key because it is only a new man that can receive things from the spirit of God, you must first become a new man before you can come to the 2nd key which is,

2. REVELATION

6 …I have made you hear new things from this time,

Even hidden things, and you did not know them.

 Isaiah 48:6 (NKJV)

Information and revelation is not the same thing. Many become knowledgeable but lack revelation, and revelation is the key to a new beginning.

It is therefore important that when we study the Bible that information be turned into revelation, so how do we do this?

We will find the answer to this very important question in John 16:13

13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

John 16:13 (NKJV)

When information is turned into revelation, then only a new beginning will be birthed. That is why it is called “The Good News”

When you remove the “S” you get “The Good New”.

Good news is the pathway to a fresh new beginning.

Revelation, however, can only be unlocked and received by the leading of the Holy Spirit. You can receive revelation either by your soul or by your spirit. The one that is receiving the information will determine if the information is revelation or not.

Because information becomes revelation when it is received by your spirit man through the Holy Spirit.

Next time when you read the Word of God, make the Holy Spirit a part of your of your journey and see how He will lead you into a new beginning

3. Financial Stewardship

It is a well-known fact that the majority of the things preventing you from stepping into a new beginning is finances.

When we speak of financial stewardship we speak of the way that you handle your finances. People do not know how to work with their finances. Many have not yet been found faithful in the way that they deal with their finances, and therefore finds themselves being strangled by financial debt.

The moment that we submit our finances to God, and allow the Holy Spirit to help us in being good stewards of our finances, then a new beginning will be at hand.

How do we do this?

By obeying the principles of God’s word

38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

 Luke 6:38 (NIV)

Understand that you provoke a new beginning with your finances.

This is, unfortunately, the area that people struggle with the most. Many struggle to give because they have not yet caught the revelation of letting go. But the moment you let go, you will put an end to financial struggle.

Your money must become servant to you, and the only way this can happen is when you surrender your finances to God.

You cannot expect a new beginning without the right seed.

4. Joy and Rejoicing

Your attitude is one of the most of important things, your attitude will either attract or repel. Your attitude is the very thing that will determine whether you will enter that season of a new beginning or not.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

 Philippians 4:4 (NKJV)

What does it mean to rejoice?

Rejoice is repeated joy.

So, you have to keep the river of rejoicing flowing in every aspect of your life. Through the good and the bad, as long as that you keep on rejoicing, you will walk in victory.

5. Vision

7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)

This verse gives us a powerful key on how to enter a new beginning.

When we speak of faith, we speak of vision. Sight and vision is not the same thing. Sight is a function of the natural eyes whereas vision is a function of the spirit. Sight will limit you as it will always reveal to you your natural circumstances, whereas vision is limited by the boundaries of your imagination.

Sight will show you what is now, but vision will show you what can be.

Now the Bible says that we have the mind of Christ. The moment that you start living your live from a heavenly perspective you will enter a new beginning.

6. Heartfelt prayer

A prayer from the heart can provoke a new beginning.

16Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. 17 Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months. 18 And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops [as usual].

James 5:16-18 AMPC (Classic Amplified Edition)

There is tremendous power in prayer. The full potential of a believer is never realised outside of prayer. If you have prayed and nothing has happened then it was most probably not a heartfelt prayer.

A heartfelt prayer is prayer where your heart connects with the heart of God. It is a place where you are broken before God as you present yourself as a living sacrifice.

Here we no longer seek answers to requests we have made, but here we seek Jesus. Understand that this is not where we seek miracles or where we seek answers but where we seek the Lord Jesus Christ, the source of the miracles and answers.

Through heartfelt prayer you truly speak from your heart which means that it is now real. Your prayers are now no longer repetitious nor mechanical, but sincere and genuine.

Here you will find yourself being completely spontaneous towards God. You can’t stop praying in the Spirit, you can’t stop worshipping, here you find yourself broken before God, just weeping as you glorify Him.

A new beginning is at hand, make the choice today to leave the old behind and to enter into a new beginning.
